New Karratha Workshop Now Open!

MINPROVISE have opened their new, Karratha-based workshop as part of an ongoing commitment to deliver projects efficiently to Pilbara based clients and sites. The new workshop will mirror the projects undertaken at MINPROVISE’s primary workshop in Welshpool, with the full support of Perth trades and materials.

The Workshop and offices were built in 2016 and are located 5 kms from the Karratha airport. The workshop is 1000 sqm and has a 10-tonne overhead crane, along with good access doors and 5000 sqm hardstand area. The premises are professionally laid out and represent a great milestone in MINPROVISE’s ongoing sustainable growth as a leader in the specialist fixed plant market.

The Karratha location forms part of MINPROVISE’s Coastal Operations and will be managed by John Valikoula, who has been working in the Pilbara for the last 17 years and is a local resident of Karratha since 2009.

MINPROVISE have employed local personnel to undertake the works and will continue their commitment to community engagement by training at least 1 apprentice each year, while also teaming up with The Graham (Polly) Farmer Foundation in order to facilitate year 11 & 12 students from Karratha Senior High School for work experience.

The Karratha workshop will mirror the works undertaken at Welshpool, providing; fabrication, welding, machining, off-site repairs, general fitting, sandblasting & painting, scaffolding and site service maintenance works. The facility will allow the total solutions provider to provide excellent service and support to existing clients, Rio Tinto, CITIC, Roy Hill, and new clients, Water Authority, Yarra Fertilisers, Woodside, TAMS, Main Roads – to name a few.
